CHRISTMAS 2024 IN FITZROVIA

On a charming corner of Fitzrovia you’ll find Mortimer House Kitchen, an Italian restaurant and bar with private dining rooms. The menu is inspired by executive chef Tom Cenci’s time in Orta San Giulio and the Amalfi Coast with family. For Christmas he takes you on a trip down memory lane with Nonna’s Christmas kitchen, a menu developed from recipes shared by the team’s grandmothers (after all, they do know best).

Whether you’re joining us in the main restaurant or looking for a cosy private dining spot for up to 20 guests we have beautiful spaces and a plentiful menu to offer you.

CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS

Roast chicken is at the heart of this menu, served with crispy skin, on a bed of truffle & mushrooms. Cotechino Sausage is slow cooked and served with a warming lentil stew. Cornish Cod is brought to life with butter bean & agretti stew with pesto Genovese. Brussels Sprouts are pan fried to keep their crunch and tossed with lashings of ‘Nduja. For dessert our must have, comes in the form of a traditional Rum Baba served with fresh Mascarpone and Amarena cherries, the ultimate ending to a family feast.

Our Christmas Feasting Menu is priced at £55 per person and served for all parties of nine or more to share. Smaller parties will dine from our Lunch & Dinner Menu. We can host parties up to 20 guests at Mortimer House Kitchen, with reservations up to 11 guests available to book online for the main restaurant. Contact our host team for availability for parties of 12 or more, further details are below.

PRIVATE DINING

For a more intimate feast, we have private dining rooms available for eight to 20 guests.

Book our home-spun Kitchen Table for a cosy family style feast, set just one floor above the restaurant and complete with a traditional stove, herb garden – quite literally everything AND the kitchen sink. For larger parties (up to 20) make our starlit Conservatory the backdrop to your celebrations, enveloped by evergreen and twinkling lights for Christmas.

For more details and availability get in touch with our host team.

CHRISTMAS BOOKING INFORMATION

Christmas booking 101; important details you should know ahead of confirming your reservation at Mortimer House Kitchen. The information below is relevant to all bookings between November 25th and December 24th.

MENUS

For parties up to eight guests, you’ll dine from our lunch & dinner menu and can order on the day.

For parties of nine or more, we serve our Christmas Feasting Menu for the table; an alternative Plant-Based option is available. Should you have specific dietary needs amongst your party, do let us know with plenty of notice (we’d suggest a week) and we can accommodate most requirements.

GROUP NUMBERS & SEATING

We can seat parties up to 11 people in the main restaurant and up to 20 guests dining privately in the Conservatory. For more detail and availability, give our host team a call or drop them an email with dates/times/numbers and they can talk you through the options available for your party.

BOOKING TIMES

We offer early and late sittings at lunch and dinner for all parties of nine or more. Over lunch 12-12.30pm is available for the early sitting and 2.30-3pm for the late sitting. For dinner it’s 6-6.30pm for the early sitting and 8.30-9pm for the late sitting depending on availability.

Guests booking the early sitting will have their table for 2 hours and 15 minutes. If you’re looking to linger a little longer, guests joining us for the late sittings will have their table for the afternoon/evening.

DEPOSITS & CANCELLATION

Due to the natural busyness of Christmas, we take a deposit of £30 per person to secure all reservations of nine or more. For parties up to eight guests, we take card details as usual to confirm.

Running Christmas at the restaurant takes a huge amount of preparation, as such we’ll be asking for at least 72 hours notice of cancellation for all groups of nine or more during this period (November 25th to December 24th). For cancellations made within 72 hours of the reservation date, deposits will be retained.
